This afternoon I listened to a 3 hour committee meeting at the United Nations on UNWebTV on the responsibility of all member states to protect human rights and to prevent and to stop genocide. The title is “International legal responsibilities for preventing genocide, holding perpetrators of war crimes accountable, and for ending the unlawful occupation of Palestine”. Not surprisingly the role of the US was a major focus due to the complicity of the Biden government in supplying Israel with the military means of committing genocide since 10-7-23 and for all the years before that in allowing the occupation of Palestine, the massacre of its people, and the destruction of its schools, universities, hospitals, its children, and most of its infrastructure, and preventing them from becoming an independent state. Indeed the stated intention of Netanyahu of killing or removing all Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza must be rejected outright now.

If you become president, you will become responsible for the illegal role of the US government in aiding and abetting the years-long crimes against humanity perpetrated by Israel. I urge you with all my heart to address this situation as ethically and responsibly as I believe you are capable of doing, no matter how difficult you find it. As president, you will be the only person who can force Israel to stop the genocide, stop the occupation, stop the destruction and torture, make peace and accept the existence of an independent Palestinian state. The international reputation of the US depends on this, going forward. If you don’t step up, you will become an international pariah, with Israel. This is what I learned from UN Web TV today re the role of UN in protecting/supporting the rule of law. If you accept this responsibility, I believe you will win the election and also a huge amount of international support. I’m living in hope!!!
